Anki can be frustrating at times. For example, what if you just made a card and want to study it immediately? Or what if you have a pre-made Anki deck like the Yousmle.com Step 1 cards, and want to study a specific cardiology card? How can you force Anki to show you a particular card, without having to review all of the cards ahead of it in the queue?
How to Change the Due Date on Anki Cards: Use This to Add Specific Anki Cards to Your Reviews (Even If They’re Not Scheduled to Show Up Yet)
To start, first go to the “Browse” menu option.
Next, select the card or cards that you would like to force into your studies. You can hold “Shift” to highlight multiple cards.
Select the cards you want to change the due date for and hit “Set Due Date…”
Choose in how many days you’d like to see the card(s). Today = 0. Then hit “OK.”
Note now that the cards’ due date has changed.

You’ll note that the cards that you set in this way are added to “Reviews.” See the picture below, where the number of card to review is now “5,” whereas before it was “0.”
